Short Bio

I held a Doctorate in Computer and Electrical Engineering, in the real-time systems group, from the State University of Campinas (FEE-Unicamp)

and a major in Physics from the Federal University of Goias, both in Brasil. Currently, I am a professor with the Department of Computer of

Catholic University of Goias and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, Computer Science Dept.

My research interests are Quality-of-service in computer networks and computer systems, and real-time scheduling.

Previously, I have been a professor at the Federal University of Goias, for almost 10 years and a research assistant at

The University of Texas. I had scholarships from Brazilian National Science Foundations, CNPq, CAPES and Sao Paulo

Science Foundation, FAPESP.
