Poster Contest

The 1998 ACM Student Research Contest Poster Forum will consist of two categories, graduate and undergraduate, with prizes awarded based on judging during the SIGCSE'98 conference. Unlike a standard conference talk, the interactive nature of a poster session gives the presenter the opportunity to concentrate on different aspects of their work, depending on the interests of the audience. Poster sessions are particularly beneficial for the student presenters, because it gives them a chance to meet others working in their field. The poster forum also gives potential employers an opportunity to meet the best students from each school represented.
