Congratulations to two BACS students who have won research awards!

Sara Alspaugh (BACS 2009) won the ACM Best Undergraduate Student Poster award at SuperComputing 2008 for her poster on href=”http://www.cs.virginia.edu/alspaugh/dmp/”>Policy-Driven Data Management for Distributed Scientific Collaborations Using a Rule Engine.

Rachel Miller (BACS 2009) was a finalist for the 2009 CRA
Outstanding Undergraduate Award, a national award recognizing “undergraduate students in North American universities who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research”.
