Area Maps and Off-Grounds Renting Information
From Washington National Airport (DCA):
Take Highway 1 north, then Interstate 66 west, then Route 29 south.
Driving distance is about 130 miles, driving time is about 2.5 to 3.0
hours (during non-rush hours) depending upon Washington traffic.
From Washington Dulles Airport (IAD):
Exit Dulles on the Dulles access road;
take the first exit onto Route 28 south.
At the intersection with Interstate 66 take I-66 west,
then Route 29 south. Driving distance is about 110 miles,
driving time is about 2.0 to 2.5 hours depending upon traffic.
From Charlottesville Airport (CHO):
At the airport exit take the second exit on the circle (12:00) and
continue straight ahead on Airport Road for 0.8 miles. At the traffic
light turn right onto Route 29 South. Proceed 8.1 miles and bear right
onto Stadium Road. Make the right onto Whitehead Road. Take the first
left into lot E3.
The Department of Computer Science is located on the second
floor of Olsson Hall (the large brick building adjacent to the
parking lot). Enter at the side of the building. The office is
in room 205.
To the Marriott Courtyard:
From the Charlottesville airport, proceed south on Route 29 about 5
miles. After you pass the Fashion Square shopping center on your
left, move to the left lane and then turn left at the sign for the

To the Holiday Inn:
From the Charlottesville airport, proceed south on Route 29 about 6
miles. The Holiday Inn North is on your left at the intersection of
Route 29, Holiday Drive on the left, and Angus Road on the right. The
Holiday Inn is just north of the Route 250 bypass. Holiday Inn North

To the English Inn:
From the Charlottesville airport, proceed south on Route 29 about 6.2
miles. The English Inn is on your left at the intersection of Route
29 and the route 250 overpass (i.e., just south of the Route 250
bypass, right next door to Bodo's Bagels). English Inn phone: (804)

To the Omni Hotel:
From the Charlottesville Airport, proceed south on Route 29 about 7.5 miles. Turn left onto Rt. 250 (University Ave.) Drive
about 2.5 miles to Water St (past eight lights). Turn left at Water St (the full left, not the partial one). The Omni will be on
your right, about .25 miles from the light.
To Olsson Hall:
Proceed south on Route 29, which now becomes Emmet Street. You will
enter the University area when you see the Cavalier Inn on your right
at the intersection of Emmet Street with Route 250. Continue south on
Emmet Street. Go under two overpasses. After the second overpass
take the next right turn onto Stadium Road. Go to the top of the hill
and turn right. Turn left into the parking lot. (Lot E-3) Olsson Hall
is now the closest building on your right. Enter Olsson Hall on the
top level. The department office is located in room 205, directly to your
left as you enter the building.
