Biographical Sketch

Christopher Milner received his AB Degree from Duke University. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Virginia in the Fall of 2000. He has joined the Department of Computer Science at UVA in the Spring of 2001.

Research

Chris's research interests include compilers, simulation, tool development, and computer science education. He researched pipeline architectures and developed innovative ways to formally specify scheduling constraints on ISA instructions. Chris also explored compiling techniques for Isotach-based distributed shared memory. As part of this research, he developed a distributed simulator for Isotach using PVM.
