lways do your best in your courses; this not only means your
grades. Participate as much as you can in class; make an
impression on the Professor and your peers; show a lot of
interest. Normally the TA's for your courses are "older"
graduate students, and it is a good idea to also impress them;
go to them for help; have lots of one-on-ones with the TA's.
Lastly, have one-on-ones with the Professor; this will also make
a positive impression.
