Microsoft Windows is arguably the most widely used operating system today. No attempt will be made here to provide extensive help for this entire, largely intuitive, operating system. These pages will concentrate on networking applications for Microsoft Windows and the use of Exceed here at UVA.

Exceed effectively integrates the Windows and Unix desktops
The additional capability of Winsock has resulted in the creation of a multitude of high quality networks software for the windows environment
