Printer Types and Locations

The following is a list of Computer Science Department printers. It includes only those that are available for public consumption.

Printer Locations

All printers are available to Unix sessions. They are as follows:

The following printers are public, but they are in staff offices. They should not be used for printing large jobs.

All printers are available to DOS, Windows, and OS/2 sessions.

The standard network configuration sets LPT1 to point to printer ps5 in Olsson 233. No other printers are mapped.

To temporarily change a printer assignment in a DOS session, use the Novell CAPTURE command. It's syntax is shown here:

capture /l=port /j=printer

Replace port with 1, 2, or 3 (corresponding to LPT1, LPT2, or LPT3) and replace printer with a printer name (ps2, ps5, etc.)

All printers are available except Geraldo.
