Location

The location of ICAA-7 has been changed from Williamsburg to the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Omni is located in the downtown area, zoned as an historic district, with an ample supply of specialty shops and sidewalk cafes. A visit to the Charlottesville and surrounding Albemarle County area offers many historic and scenic attractions to include the Rotunda and Lawn of the University of Virginia which were designed by Thomas Jefferson as a center of unique "Academical Village," which in 1976 was honored by the American Institute of Architects as the most outstanding achievement in American architecture. Jefferson's home, Monticello, and the home of his friend James Monroe, Ash Lawn/Highland are open to the public as tours, as well as James Madison's residence, Montpelier, and Woodrow Wilson's birthplace. Nature lovers can enjoy the mountains of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive.
