Friday Poem

Five beats on time.

The first time I heard Gustav Holst’s “‍Mars, Bringer of War‍” from the planet suite I was instantly sold on 5/4 timing. Speaking of timing, let me see what I can do on that subject.

Untitled Poem

No one gets to see what is going to be done in future years.
Eyes aren’t keen enough, for the future’s tough; none predict it well.
Prophets often see what has yet to be, thus allaying fears;
But they put is so facts you do not know are quite hard to tell.

Time is e’er passing, eagerly, laughing,
Flowing unceasing, ever increasing.
Parallel actions, instant reactions,
Nothing can dodge it, schedules can’t lodge it;
Howe’er you use it, think or you’ll rue it.

Timing’s essential,
filled with potential,
ever sequential,
often tangential…

Experience Time.
