Virginia Internet Technology Week to be held in September

he First Virginia Internet technology Week will be held September 13-17, 1999, at Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg.
It is sponsored by the Internet Technology Innovation Center (ITIC) and offers instruction for Virginia business leaders, entrepreneurs, engineers and technicians on how to use Internet Technology in their business, or use it better. It will also introduce to new business ventures possible with Internet2 technology.

The ITIC was established by Virginia's Center of Innovative Technology (CIT) to nurture Virginia's entrepreneurial environment for information technology and Internet-based businesses; accelerate the creation and deployment of network-based information technology; develop hardware/software infrastructure; and expand Virginia's high-skill work force, which is needed to develop, support, and market Internet-based electronic products and services. The ITIC is a partnership among 11 research groups at four Virginia universities.
