Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial
Telecommunication (SWIFT) Scholarship Recipient
March 8, 2013
We are pleased to announce that Charles Eckman was selected by the UVA
CS department's review committee as the recipient of the first Society
for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) Scholarship,
in the amount of $3500, for the 2013-14 academic year. Charles is an
outstanding student, active in TA'ing, research, and student leadership
in the department, and also active in other significant extracurricular
activities.
The selection was difficult, because we had a number of outstanding
students nominated. I am continually amazed by the outstanding caliber
and breadth of our student body.

platform, products and services to connect more than 10,000 banking

We are grateful to SWIFT for making this scholarship available to a UVA
