Biographical Sketch
Marty Humphrey, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia. He received a B.S. and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1986 and 1989, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts in 1996. From 1996-1998, he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Colorado at Denver. In 1998, he joined UVA as a Research Assistant Professor at UVA and became an Assistant Professor in 2002. Humphrey has been active in Grid and eScience research for over 10 years, through projects supported by the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and Microsoft Research.
