I plan to post the availability of these files to the news groups. First I need to make sure I have the bandwidth and I also wanted to have a few discerning eyes make sure I have made no obvious mistakes. Even with the current limited announcement I am seeing a daily bandwidth of half a gig being used. So I will probably space out the news group announcements. derek -- Derek M Jones tel: +44 (0) 1252 520 667 Knowledge Software Ltd mailto:derek@knosof.co.uk Applications Standards Conformance Testing http://www.knosof.co.uk From cbfalconer at yahoo.com Sun Jun 5 17:41:37 2005 From: cbfalconer at yahoo.com (CBFalconer) Date: Wed Mar 22 17:10:59 2006 Subject: [splint-discuss] More C Standard material References: <4.3.2.7.2.20050604204127.00aecde0@pop3.demon.co.uk> <4.3.2.7.2.20050604204127.00aecde0@pop3.demon.co.uk> <4.3.2.7.2.20050605112504.00afe9f0@pop3.demon.co.uk> Message-ID: <42A37191.3571A347@yahoo.com> Derek M Jones wrote: > >>> Those of you wanting the a copy of the latest draft >>> C Standard can find it at: >>> www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg14/www/docs/n1124.pdf >>> The language part of this material (plus DR 251 and handy >>> sentence numbers), in html form, is available at: >>> www.knosof.co.uk/cbook/cbc99.html.gz >> >> It may also be a good idea to post this to comp.lang.c. > > I plan to post the availability of these files to the news groups. > First I need to make sure I have the bandwidth and I also > wanted to have a few discerning eyes make sure I have made > no obvious mistakes. > > Even with the current limited announcement I am seeing a daily > bandwidth of half a gig being used. Note the difference between the ones below and the ones in the first quote above. If wrap around occurs there is also no doubt where. -- "If you want to post a followup via groups.google.com, don't use the broken "Reply" link at the bottom of the article. Note Good suggestion. A couple of other things I plan to do are: o Create a C/C++ difference wiki with the existing material. There may be some subtleties I missed and these days I don't keep up with the C++ defect reports. o Some kind of discussion area for the coding guidelines. Other suggestions welcome. Anybody who has glanced at the material will see that I am keen on measurement and experimental evidence. Has anybody kept detailed records of the different problems they have uncovered using splint? This kind of detailed log of faults in real code is hard to come by. Many of the tools used to make the C measurements (at least the ones made by me) given in the book can be downloaded from the books web site: http://www.knosof.co.uk/cbook/cbook.html derek -- Derek M Jones tel: +44 (0) 1252 520 667 Knowledge Software Ltd mailto:derek@knosof.co.uk Applications Standards Conformance Testing http://www.knosof.co.uk From derek at knosof.co.uk Wed Jun 8 08:57:08 2005 From: derek at knosof.co.uk (Derek M Jones) Date: Wed Mar 22 17:10:59 2006 Subject: [splint-discuss] High Integrity software guidelines Message-ID: <4.3.2.7.2.20050608135240.00b02c80@pop3.demon.co.uk> All, Members of this list might be interested in joining the high integrity software working group: http://www.aitcnet.org/isai/ I think that the members of this list will have useful experience to contribute.
