The 10th annual IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium will be held at the Le Royal Meridien hotel in Toronto, Canada from 25 May to 28 May 2004.
Due to recent fruitful involvement with select industry representatives from domains such as avionics, space systems, automotive, etc., however, RTAS aims to help bridge the gap between real-time systems research and practice through the inclusion of more industry focused tracks, venues, and participants.
As such, the organizers of the Embedded Systems Conference, the current RTAS co-chairs, and the IEEE Technical Committee for Real-Time systems decided to establish a collaboration between RTAS and ESC.
This Birds-of-a-Feather session takes the first step toward what we hope will be a long and mutually educational collaboration. We'll talk about the history of the RTAS, present a synopsis of some important papers presented at the last 9 RTAS meetings, talk about the plans for future collaboration, and open the floor for discussion.
