Projects

The core AlarmNet system is enhanced and extended by other projects which investigate particular issues that arise in the overall vision of AlarmNet or for certain applications.

  • SenQ:  real-time streaming queries and in-network processing for sensor data extraction.
  • FATS Attack and physical layer privacy: demonstrate a new privacy attack on AlarmNet type home monitoring systems that infers private activity data in spite of encrypted messages. Privacy solutions are proposed and evaluated.
  • HealthRTA: use novel WSN design and assurance mechanisms to guarantee that important application-level requirements are met in mission critical applications.
  • NetMonitor: monitor the status of network, identify causes for degraded quality, and improve the network performance autonomously.
  • Fall Detection:  use accelerometers and gyroscopes to detect body posture and transitions for higher accuracy fall detection.
  • CamCare: using cameras to improve fall detection, localization, and other services while preserving resident privacy and security.
  • ConfiSENse: privacy attack detection and prevention for high confidence WSN
  • StreamLib
