I am the coach of UVa's teams that compete in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). There is a regional contest in the late fall, and teams in our region that do well advance to the world finals. I have been involved since 2006, and we have made it to the world finals 5 times in the last 7 years, and have qualified for the 2016 world finals in Phuket, Thailand.

Interested in taking part? Send me an e-mail: aaron (at) virginia (dot) edu. Or show up at our practices -- see the Twitter feed for details.

The world finals we have participated in:

  • 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden
  • 2010 in Harbin, China
  • 2011 in Egypt (changed to Orlando, Florida)
  • 2013 in St. Petersburg, Russia
  • 2014 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
