• 11 Dec: To figure out what grade you need on the final to get a certain letter grade, you can use the following formula:
  
  Where f is the final exam grade you need to get (on a scale of 1 to 100), t is your target score (if you are aiming for an A-, for example, then t = 89.5), a is your weighted average (on a scale of 1 to 100) and w is the current weight (from the viewgrades page -- probably an 80).  Note that you have to round f up, so if f is 89.1, that means you have to get a 90 on the final to reach your target score.
• 7 Dec: There will be no TA office hours during finals.  Professor office hours will be by appointment only, so please send an e-mail.

• 30 Nov: The third lab quiz is here.  Note that the link will give you an error ("permission denied") until the appropriate date/time of the quiz.
• 28 Nov: HW J9 is ready, and is due by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 5 December.  This homework can be turned in up to 24 hours late with no penalty.
• 27 Nov: Lab 12, course surveys, is all ready.  It's due by 10 a.m. on Monday, 4 December.
