Submission Instructions

All assignments in CS101 and CS101-E will be submitted electronically through the course web page. Work done by several people in collaboration should be submitting once only for the whole group of collaborators. That is, one of the collaborators should submit the work on behalf of the entire group. The user ids of all collaborators must be entered when the group work is submitted.

Whether you are submitting work for yourself only or on behalf of a set of collaborators, do so as follows

  1. Click on the Submit link on the CS101 home page (you've already done this).
  2. Click on the Submit an Assignment link on the submission page
  3. Enter your user id and password in the designated fields
  4. Select the assignment for which you are submitting files from the pulldown list. Each assignment has two parts, to be submitted separately: one for the lab work and one for the main, or homework, part. Be careful to select the Lab choice if you are submitting lab work, and the Homework choice otherwise. These choice might not appear in the order in which you do the work. Recall again that lab work may be done collaboratively, but the main homework must be down on your own.
  5. For each file to be submitted, perform the following file-submission procedure
    • Designate the file to be submitted by clicking on the browse button, surfing to the directory in which the file is stored, and selecting the file. The full name of the file should end up displayed in the file name entry on the web page.
    • If you are submitting the file on behalf of yourself and a group of collaborators, enter their user ids in the text box in the Group Project Information area of the web page, otherwise enter the word none. By doing so you attest that you alone are responsible for all of the work being submitted. Be sure to set this field properly for each file you submit.
    • If questions are displayed in the Questionnaire area, answer them, otherwise just continue to the next step.
    • Hit the Submit button at the bottom of the page. You should receive an acknowledgement that your file has been received. If you do not, please contact the course TA's and instructors for assistance. If you submit the same file twice, the later submission will be accepted in place of the earlier one. We will not have access to the earlier submission (so be sure that the last file you submit is really the one you want to submit).
