System ShutDown

Shutting the System Down

We have opened a lot of tools, and set up a number of connections between the various computers. When you are ready to quit, several steps must be taken to shut everything down.
  • shut down the Browser,
  • shut down WindShell,
  • shut down Launcher,
  • reset the 2604 board,
  • shut down kermit,
  • log off casio/hopper, and
  • log off rt-lab1.

    Shutting Down Browser

    If Iconified:

    Left Click on Icon, Select Close

    If Open:

    In Browser

  • Select File|Quit.

    Shutting Down WindShell

    If Iconified:

    Left Click on Icon, Select Close

    If Open:

    In WindShell enter:

    	exit
    

    Shutting Down Launcher

    If Iconified:

    Left Click on Icon, Select Restore, then

    In Launcher

  • Select Target|Unreserve
  • Select File|Quit.

    Resetting the 2604 Board

    From Kermit:

    In kermit enter:

    	Ctrl-X
    
    From WindShell

    In WindShell enter:

    	Ctrl-X
    
    Note: This will also reset the target server, and disconnect all tools.

    Shutting Down Kermit

    In kermit enter:

    	Ctrl-\ 
    	C
    	exit
    

    Exiting the casio/hopper window

    In casio/hopper enter:

    	exit.
    
    Note: This will return you to a shell on rt-lab1

    Logging Off the Workstation

    Use the CDE 'EXIT' Button
