Canceling Print Jobs in Unix
Step 1
View the print queue with the command line:
lpstat <printer name>
To the right is a listing of what a typical print queue might look like. The process IDs are bw-456 bw-457 bw-458 etc.
Step 2
Cancel a print job with the following command line:
cancel <print job ID>
To the right, the job numbered bw-456 is being cancelled from printing on the network print queue of bw.
Note that you will not be able to cancel other peoples' jobs nor may the same be done to your own print jobs.
