Responsibilities: The primary function of the CSGSG Steering Committee is to provide representation for the computer science graduate student body. This includes serving as a liaison between the faculty and graduate students when appropriate. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to: attend faculty meetings prepare packets to send to incoming graduate students organize orientation week for new graduate students organize prospective student weekend for candidate graduate students facilitate town hall meetings with department chair (held once or twice per year) supervise election of new members to the steering committee appoint positions of student tsars organize graduate student feedback on faculty candidates maintain CSGSG web pages moderate discussion topics as described above
