We are frequently asked about housing options for incomming students. At one time we tried to maintain a database of housing options, but it was harder to keep it current then to perform housing searches online.

It is uncommon for graduate students to desire on-grounds housing. There is typically less space, less control over roommates, more cost, and often no kitchen, meaning all meals must be eaten at university dining halls. However, it can be an easier transition for students not interested in the work involved in finding housing. UVa maintains a page for graduate student on-grounds housing.
