Description:	This course will cover essential parts of chapters 5, 7, 8, and 10. Topics include recurrence relations and the analysis of algorithms, advanced counting techniques, graphs, trees, finite automata, and computability. Homework will be assigned about once a week and will usually be due one week after the day assigned. There will be three in-class tests and a final exam. The exam is scheuled for Friday, May 11th from 9 - 12.

Homework Collaboration:	Working in groups is allowed for the homeworks, but you must adhere to the following two rules: Write the names of all collaborators on your homework You cannot share your written materials when collaborating. The collaboration must be oral.
