I am a PhD student at the University of Virginia. Formerly, I was a programmer at WhiteCanyon, Inc., but in 2008 I decided to go back to school so that I could get a graduate degree and begin doing research. In general, I love computers, and use them in my free time as well as professionally and in my studies.

I have been married since 2000 to an absolutely wonderful woman named Amanda. We have three kids that keep us somewhere in between on our toes and half-asleep with exhaustion.
Recently, I don't have much free time due to the demands of school and family, but when I do have free time, I have a few things I like to do to keep me busy. I love to read, run, go camping when I can, and play on the Wii with my family.
