Monday Office Hours

Posted by David Evans on 15 Oct 2011 in Announcements, Office Hours | Comments Off

I have to go to an out-of-town meeting Monday, so will not be able to hold my regular office hours. Please email me if you would like to set up another time.

Monday’s class will be a guest lecture by Westley Weimer. Prof. Weimer is an outstanding lecturer who won the Hartfield-Jefferson Scholars Teaching Prize last year. He has also previously taught cs1120.

Friday Office Hours

Posted by David Evans on 12 Oct 2011 in Announcements, Office Hours | Comments Off

Since Peter’s Thursday morning office hours as previously scheduled overlapped with mine, we have moved them to now have additional office hours on Friday, noon-1:30pm. They will start right after class on Fridays (and Peter will often be at class, so you can go over to Rice Hall with him after class).

Office Hours tomorrow

Posted by David Evans on 3 Oct 2011 in Announcements, Office Hours | Comments Off

I will end my office hours early tomorrow (Tuesday), at 11:30am, instead of the normal noon time, to be able to make it to Richard Dawkins’ talk. To make up for this, I will have extra office hours tomorrow at 5-6pm.

Office Hours Moved to Rice Hall

Posted by David Evans on 30 Aug 2011 in Office Hours | Comments Off

From now on, all AC’s office hours will be held in Rice Hall, in the first floor area outside the (future) bagel shop. There is a nice seating area there with lots of tables with power outlets and comfy chairs.

To find the area, if you enter the front of Rice Hall, just keep walking straight to the back area. If you enter through the basement passage from Olsson, just go up the stairs to the first floor and you are there.

Hopefully the bagel shop will be open soon!

Office Hours

I’ve moved into Rice Hall, Room 507. My regular office hours will be:

Mondays, 1-2:00pm
Tuesdays, 11am-noon (not this coming week)
Thursdays, 9:45-11am

According to the schedules you provided using http://www.whenisgood.net/cs1120, everyone in the class can make at least one of these times.

Rice Hall is the new Computer Science building, right next to Olsson Hall. The front entrance for Rice should be open now, and you can also enter through the basement passageway connected to Olsson Hall (go down one floor from our classroom and turn right at the end of the hallway). If you don’t have questions about the class, you can also stop by to check out the new building smell and view from my new office:
