The best way to reach me is via email to evans@virginia.edu. I am more likely to receive your message if you include a meaningful subject line and send a plain text email.

Office

My office is Olsson Hall, room 236A.

Directions from The Lawn: Walk past the Ampitheatre and follow McCormick Road across the bridge over Emmet Street (Route 29). After crossing the bridge, you'll see the main engineering school (Thornton Hall) entrance on your left. Just past this, turn left on the unnamed street. The last building on your left is Olsson Hall. Walk up the steps into the entrance by the "Computer Science" sign. You're now on the second floor. The second door on your right is the entrance to 236. Walk to the end of the hallway and turn left. My office is the first door on the right, Olsson 236A.

Directions from points North: Take Route 29 South through Charlottesville. After passing University Ave. and then under a bridge, route 29 curves to the left; instead of following the curve, stay stright on the small road (Stadium Road). Take the first right (Whitehead Road). The first building on your right is Olsson Hall. There is a parking lot in front of it. You will see the huge UVa football stadium in front of you on your left.

Directions from I-64: Take exit 118B and merge onto US-29N. Take the US-29 buisness exit towards Charlottesville, and turin right onto Fontain Avenue. Turn left at Jefferson Park Avenue (the stree on the left is called Maury Ave, but its name changes to Alderman Road). You will pass the huge UVa football stadium. Turn right on the street after it (Whitehead Road). Olsson Hall is the last building at the end of this street on the left.

Office Hours. My office hours for Fall 2009 at Mondays, 1:30-2:30pm and Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30am in Olsson 236A. Students in my class have priority during that time, but I am also pleased to meet with any students who want to discuss computer science, your own projects, my research projects, computer security, starting a business, how to get the most out of college, or soccer.

When I am unable to keep my scheduled office hours, I post a message to my course website.
