Religious Sect

The Uni (Unification Sanctum) is a rabidly growing religious sect that is assimilating members of other religions at a disturbing rate.  Evidence exists that the Uni use a combination of crystals, telepathic abilities, hypnosis, mind control drugs, and surprisingly well choreographed music videos to establish and maintain their following.

The Uni worship a giant, flying, fire breathing turtle.  They believe the great turtle was the Omni Deity's chosen savior sent to redeem mankind hundreds of years ago.  Others believe the turtle was merely a myth, the subject of fictional stories told ages ago.  However, the Uni are incredibly successful in making converts.  They are so successful that they have recently gained the attention of Senator Sinistar who sees them as a threat to his plot to take over all human civilization.

The Uni view the decreasing power of the Central Government of Earth as a sign that the time is right for them to take control of human civilization and bring about the return of the great turtle.
