1. If you do not already have one, get and install a personal certificate on your windows machine - this will be used to identify yourself to remote GridFTP services. You should also install any CA certificates you wish to trust.
2. If you do not already have one, get and install a host certificate on your windows machine - this will be used to identify your GridFTP service to remote clients
3. download GridFTP.NET installer (this download contains both the client and service code)
4. run the installer by double-clicking on the downloaded file -- the following dialog box will appear.
make sure that the "GridFTP client only" box is *NOT* checked (as shown here) since this will cause the GridFTP Service to not be installed.
5. Click the Next button and the installer will bring up a configuration dialog box. Follow these instructions for configuring your GridFTP service.
