1. If you do not already have one, get and install a personal certificate on your windows machine. You should also install any CA certificates you wish to trust.
2. download GridFTP.NET installer
3. run the installer by double-clicking on the downloaded file -- the following dialog box will appear.
Check the "GridFTP client only install" box (as shown here). Then click Next and follow the remaining instructions.
