gwTTSruns on FreeBSD versions 2.1 and later. In fact, there may be some benefit to using later releases of the sound drivers, however these are not exploited bygwTTSyet.

- VMix - Vat Audio driver to interface between vat and
/dev/audio.Optional Software
- Alladin's Ghostscript. The whiteboard cannot load PostScript images without this software. The whiteboard still functions without it, however.
