My Background: I joined UVa in January 2001 after working since 1987 in the CSE Department at Florida Atlantic University. I was a visiting professor at UVa during Spring 1999 when I co-taught CS340. I have been active in national groups related to software engineering education, and won several teaching awards at FAU.
And, yes, I gave up my nice life near the beach for UVa and C'ville.
