Submission Instructions

The submission process for IWQOS is closed!
If you have questions, please send email to iwqos@cs.virginia.edu

General Requirements

IWQoS invites submission of manuscripts which present original material and should not have been previously published nor should they currently be under review by another conference or journal. Any previous or simultaneous publication of related material should be explicitly noted in the submission. Submissions must be less than 20 double-spaced pages long, including all figures and citations, and must include an abstract of 100 - 150 words.  The maximum length of final papers in the proceedings will be 10 pages.

Submitting a Paper

Authors must submit papers electronically via the web, using the IWQoS 2002 online paper registration (now closed). The online paper registration form works as follows.

First, the author responsible for correspondence should be identified, including the author's name, position, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. One of the authors of each accepted paper must present the paper at IWQoS 2002.

After the contact information has been submitted, the online paper registration system will send an email to the contact author. This email will contain a pointer to a web page where the author can upload the paper. (Please note that, in order to use the upload feature, you have to use a recent browser such as Netscape 4.x and above, or Internet Explorer 4.x and above.) Papers must be submitted in PostScript or PDF format.

Upon receipt of the electronic version of the paper, the organizing committee will check that the paper prints successfully. If such is the case, a second email acknowledging that the paper has been received and is printable will be sent to the contact author within two working days.

Please contact the IWQoS 2002 organization committee if you are unable to use the web-based submission system. To avoid last minute problems, authors are encouraged to submit their papers well in advance of the deadline.

Student Paper Award

If applicable, please send a separate e-mail to iwqos@cs.virginia.edu indicating if the paper is to be considered for the best PhD student paper award. Please include your paper number, title, and authors' names and affiliations in your e-mail. Note that for the paper to be considered for the best PhD student paper award, the primary author of the paper needs to be a student.
