Description:

This little slice of Dagger Flats at Big Bend National Park caught my eye because of the diversity of plants in the area. I'm no botanist, but I can pick out at least the following in the picture (and I'm sure there are many more to be seen by the trained eye):

• ocotillo cactus
• barrel cactus
• prickly pear cactus
• creosote bush
• yuccas (at least some are soaptree yuccas, I believe)
