Description:
This is the end of the road for the window trail. The 2 miles or so that it took to reach here was well worth it. The window is a narrow opening in the rock wall that let's you survey the northwestern portion of the park from high above. It also allows the little stream that you follow for a portion of the hike to tumble down the outside wall. Below you can see another rock wall with a big crack in the middle - this is the aptly named gunsight. Anyone who goes to Big Bend National Park should definitely consider hiking down the window trail for a few hours.
