Description:
Cholla cacti come in several varieties, each one with a slightly different look. This one that I found in Guadalupe Mountains National Park is a cane cholla, and as you can see in the picture, it bares little barrel shaped yellow fruit. Since I was there in September, I have to assume that this happens sometime in the late summer (my powers of deduction are amazing, aren't they?).
