Description:
Of the places I was able to get to in one day, McKittrick Canyon was my favorite part of Guadalupe Mountains National Park . This was just one of the highlights - an area of strangely shaped grottos about 2 miles up the trail from the canyon mouth. While we were there we were visitied by the only large animals we saw during our short stay - a couple of deer.
