
Description:
This picture is included strictly to gather sympathy. This is the topmost section of the South Kaibab Trail just below the rim. You can see the numerous switchbacks if you look hard enough. This is by far the most difficult section of the hike I took (I can't vouch for anything below Skeleton Point). When I finally made it back to this point I was confronted with mixed emotions: happy to have made it this far, but groaning inside that I had this climb left to go. Well, I guess I made it, and as time passes it seems like the hike was easier and easier.
