Luray Caverns are located in north central Virginia near the Shenandoah Valley. Since they are the only caverns I've been to, I can't compare them to Mammoth Caves or Carlsbad Caverns, but they looked pretty cool to me. It has all the unusual limestone deposits you'd ever want and about 300 feet of solid earth above your head, just to give you that claustrophobic feel. One neat part of the tour was when they turned out the lights. I've never seen complete darkness before - it's a bit eerie.
To get this shot, I lagged behind the group for a while and used a tripod to get a good long exposure shot of the underground reflecting pool. I'm pretty psyched about the way this came out.
