What is a Bah! Humbug! Party

The Bah! Humbug! Party started over 10 years ago, when someone, who shall remain nameless, said: "Jim, mthis is going to be a lousy Christmas. Nobaody else I know has lousy Christmases." And somebody else said "Wanna Bet?"

So we organised a party to allow people to tell stories of the worst Christmas (or other holiday) that they had had. It kind of grew since then.

What should we wear?

Well, it runs the gamut from very formal (the odd tux has been seen by the fireplace) to very relaxed - blue jeans and tee shirts are often involved seen over by the tree. We like to encourage a bit more formal because it is a party after all.

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, bring a friend. The basic rules are bring anything you can't have a party without. So, if you absolutely have to have Abba songs, bring the CD. If you feel it can't be a party unless there is Guinness, you will always be greeted with a smile. If on the otherhand it's not a party without Spam - bring a can. We usually prime the pump with a selection of munchies, wine and beer, but if you insist on only drinking belgian ales....
