I am currently working to complete my PhD in the area of parallel and high performance computing. My research is concerned with methods toward the automatic configuration of computing environments for application execution with a focus on parallel codes running at supercomputing centers. I am a part of the Virginia Center for Grid Research where I am studying under Professor Andrew Grimshaw. I also work with the UVa Alliance for Computational Science and Engineering.
Last year I served on our department's Graduate Student Group Steering Committee. I was also one of the Intramural Sports Team Organizers for the Graduate Engineering Student Council. In the past I have served our department as the Teatime Tsarina (2007-2011), the Graduate Chair of the ACM-W (2007) and as the CS Representative to the Graduate Engineering Student Council (2007/2008).
This year I completed the Tomorrow's Professor Today professional development program co-sponsored by the UVa Office of the Vice President for Research, the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
I graduated from Mississippi State University in 2006 with Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics as well as minors in German and General Business. Along with Mississippi, I grew up in Michigan, Alaska, and Poland. My hobbies include playing sports and dancing.
