Summer 2009
A study of programming languages, including their syntax, semantics, and implementation. Several different models of languages are discussed, including procedural (Ruby), functional (OCaml), and object-oriented (Java). Language features such as formal syntax, scoping and binding of variables, higher-order programming, typing and type polymorphism, and object inheritance are explored.

Software Engineer
May 2005 – April 2006
Developed a commercial application using J2EE technologies that include Struts (XML, MVC architecture), jsps, and Hibernate, connected to an Oracle database. The application was part of a mission critical system for the Department of Commerce to process and maintain on-line export license applications. In addition my responsibilities included data and requirements gathering and analysis, user interface design, and implementing the eXtreme programming methodology.

Interests
- Outside of being a fourth year graduate student, I have a passion for art in general, and specifically pastels and painting. My personal collection can be found at www.kingadobolyi.com
- I also enjoy learning new sports, rowing, traveling, dance, cars, and have recently discovered that I am good at cooking and baking. By the end of spring I would also like to have my own motorcycle.
- Pictures from various research group activities.
