KAIST (CS Dept)

The Department of Computer Science at KAIST invites applications for new faculty members. Qualified applicants in all Computer Science areas will be considered, while the Department puts more emphasis on Computer Networks, Theoretical Computer Science, and Natural Language Processing. Applicants must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D.(or equivalent) in computer science or a closely related field, and should have demonstrated strong research and teaching potential. We are actively seeking outstanding candidates, and we strongly encourage qualified applications at all levels to apply for these positions.

The department offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science. The number of Ph.D. students grows steadily. This is consistent with the Institute's policy that places much emphases on the Ph.D. program. Currently, the department consists of 25 professors, about 230 undergraduate students and 280 graduate students. There are also more than 10 Post-Doc's, some of whom are foreign nationals. The department has produced more than 100 PhD's, about 800 Masters, and 300 Bachelors who are currently working at key positions in major industry, research organizations, and academia.
