FALL 2002

John C. Knight with Kimberly S. Hanks
Department of Computer Science

Project Information

A semester project is required for this course. It is to consist of either:
  1. an extension and more in-depth examination of a topic treated in a writing assignment, comparable in scale to a conference paper, or
  2. original work appropriate for submission to IRIA 2003
In either case, a formal statement of topic, on the scale of a conference paper abstract, must be submitted by a date to be announced, and approved by the instructors.

You may assume conference paper scale to equal 8-12 IEEE formatted pages and conference abstract scale to equal 200-300 words.

The project accounts for 35% of your course grade.
