I am a researcher at the Real-Time Computing Systems Research Center (CISTER) in the School of Engineering (ISEP) of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP). I graduated from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia recently. My research interests are in the area of distributed computing, particularly wireless ad-hoc networks. The Universe is 13.7 billion years old, +/- 1%. The first stars appeared at about 200 million years after the Big Bang. It is made up of 4% atoms, 23% Cold Dark Matter, and 73% Dark Energy. The geometry of the Universe is flat. It means that two parallel lines will never meet, and that the fate of the Universe is that it will expand forever...
