On 2020-08-24, the UVA provost instituted a draconian policy on recordings, out of keeping with the spirit of academic openness, which states that recordings of class
may only be reproduced or stored for instructional purposes with students enrolled in the same class during the same term, and may only be stored on University-owned password-protected sites.
I heartily disagree with this policy. However, I lack the time and energy needed to appeal it.
