Friday Poem

Word selection.

Untitled Poem

I don’t call the buffalo “‍critters‍”, you see
Because they are larger; more “‍beast‍”-like to me.
I don’t call a leg-bounce a “‍spasm‍”, although
I do like that word and it is apropos.
I don’t call my progenitors “‍mommy‍” or “‍pops‍”,
Nor use “‍screech‍” at all, save for quite sudden stops.
I love to say “‍propylite‍”, so sweet that sound!
…But don’t know its meaning besides “‍hardish ground.‍”

But “‍elbow‍”, yes “‍elbow‍”: I use it all day;
  It’s short and it’s simple, its meaning well-known,
  It rarely confuses, it evokes not a groan,
And I do love to use it, it’s so fun to say!
