Sensor Modules, Hardware, and
Software Drivers
for Wireless Sensor Networks
Designed and Implemented at Department of Computer
Science, UVA
Sensor modules
-
SeeMote: LCD user interface module with 5-way navigation user
input
-
SD/MMC card interface for removable storage up to 4GB and data
logging
-
Power meter module for measuring power consumption for small
electronic devices, such as other sensor network nodes
-
MotionMote: PIR motion sensor integration to a MICAz mote for
medical WSN testbed
-
ETag device with integrated SpO2 and pulse rate
meter and LCD user interface. Developed in collaboration with JHU APL
as electronic triage tag for disaster management. Supports CodeBlue system
developed at Harvard
-
Solar meter: eight channel solar light meter
with dual action sensors: sensing and energy harvesting. Features include
harvested energy storage in a supercapacitor, optional lithium battery charger,
energy source switching circuit.
-
Dust sensor: measures dust or particle content in air.
-
BTBridge: a gateway device between IEEE 802.15.4 wireless
networks and Bluetooth connected devices.
-
BodyScale: interface to a body scale that reads weight of a
person and integrates the device in a WSN.
-
BloodPressure meter: interface to a blood pressure meter that
integrates the device in a WSN.
-
Tripwire: an optical threshold crossing sensor designed for
data association with people in WSN system.
-
Sense8: a prototyping module for connecting external sensors
or actuators to eight ADC or general IO channels.
