Wireless Sensor Networks for Environmental Sciences Testbed

Our environmental testbed focuses on automatic monitoring by sensor nodes embedded in the environment. The sensory data is available for authorized clients over the Internet, including environmental scientists and software applications. A possible extension of the system is to integrate it with the SenseWeb project at Microsoft Research, thus publishing the data on the map in real time.

This project is in collaboration with Virginia Coastal Reserve LTER research at Environmental Sciences Departments of University of Virginia (UVA) and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
