The Multimedia Networks Group is the networking research group at the University of Virginia. Currently, our main research activities are on overlay/peer-to-peer networks in the context of the HyperCast project, and on service guarantees in packet networks.
This site has information on past and present research activities, group members, and software developed by the group. With J. Liebeherr relocating to the University of Toronto, the group is now small and not growing.
Congratulations to Florin Ciucu for winning the best paper award at ACM Sigmetrics 2005!
